Toronto core

West GTA

Square One's condo stack means a lot of narrow-stile balcony door repairs, Erin Mills and Meadowvale are detached houses with original Kwikset builder-grade deadbolts most people upgrade after a break-in nearby.
Mount Pleasant and Heart Lake are ten-year-old subdivisions with builder-grade Weiser hardware that starts sticking right around year eight, plus plaza units along Queen and Bovaird calling for storefront lock repair.
Old Oakville's heritage entries call for Baldwin brass handle sets that match the house, Glen Abbey and Iroquois Ridge are newer detached homes where Mul-T-Lock upgrades are the common request after a neighbourhood break-in.
Downtown waterfront condos have aluminum entrance doors that swell and bind in humid weather, Alton Village and Millcroft are detached family homes mostly needing a straightforward cylinder rekey.
North GTA
Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill — VMC glass towers, Kleinburg estate gates, and the Yonge corridor running up to Oak Ridges.
VMC's condo towers run narrow European multipoint hardware, Woodbridge is detached brick with straightforward rekeys, and the Kleinburg estate belt is where most of our Mul-T-Lock and Medeco installs happen.
Cornell and Cathedraltown are newer townhouse blocks with Hoppe and G-U multipoint gearboxes that jam before the cylinder ever fails, plus Highway 7 plaza units needing storefront service.
Older established houses running up Yonge Street with worn original cylinders, newer Oak Ridges subdivisions still under builder hardware, and Bayview Hill where the ask is usually a Medeco or Mul-T-Lock upgrade.
East GTA
Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa — Durham dispatch off the 401, mostly detached family housing and a fair share of after-hours lockouts.
Duffin Heights and Rougemount are detached family houses where smart-lock installs are increasingly the ask, the towers around Pickering Town Centre bring narrower condo-door hardware and after-hours lockouts.
Applecroft and Lakeside are a mix of detached houses and newer townhouses running Hoppe or G-U multipoint gearboxes on the entry door — the gearbox, not the cylinder, is usually what's actually failed.
Downtown Whitby's heritage houses keep their original brass hardware longer than most towns, while Brooklin and Rossland's newer subdivisions are where the Mul-T-Lock upgrade requests come from.
Mid-century detached and duplex housing across Oshawa still runs a lot of original pin-tumbler deadbolts overdue for rekeying, and retail along King and Simcoe brings storefront commercial calls.
